5. Christmas Time (Don’t Let the Bells End) – The Darkness
You know you want that two-fretted guitar.
4. All Alone on Christmas – Darlene Love
The greatest song from Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.
3. All I Want For Christmas is You – Mariah Carey
You know it’s nearly Christmas when you hear this on the radio. In November.
2. Last Christmas – Wham
1. Do They Know It’s Christmas? – Band Aid (1984)
The two later versions are nowhere near as brilliant as the original (Some scenes may be upsetting)

I am the biggest Grinch about Xmas – except for the fact that I love Xmas songs (and loathe the X Factor because it’s stopped all the competition for Xmas number one). Anyway, while I agree with most of your choices, I do also have to add Fairytale of New York by the Pogues, Merry Christmas Everybody by Slade, Christmas Wrapping by The Waitresses and I Wish It Could Be Xmas Everyday by Wizzard. Oh, I just did my own list didn’t I – let’s round it up to 5 in that case and add Feliz Navidad. I can feel a trip to Youtube coming on.

I’m afraid I will have to disagree with you about the Pogues, I can’t stand that song, but I do agree about the others! I hate the way X Factor takes over the xmas number 1 every year-it’s unfair to other artists.
