July Favourites 2013

Not a lot of good films out this month, but there was one, in the form of a prequel to one of Pixar’s greatest animations…

Film: Monsters University (2013)

We’ve waited too long for this, but it was worth it. You find out how Randall turned evil, how Mike and Sully turned from enemies to friends, and everyone’s favourite character Roz even makes an appearance!

Album: Lilygreen and Maguire – Given up, Giving up (2012)

From http://coverfire.blogspot.co.uk/?view=flipcard

This was the first studio album from Lilygreen and Maguire, made up of 2010 Eurovision entry Jon Lilygreen and former The story So Far member Jon Maguire. There’s only four songs on this album, and every one of them is pretty good. My favourite is the title track, however, their cover of Cheryl Cole’s Call my Name is becoming a firm favourite.

Tech: Movie Mix (Freeview channel 32)

Matilda seems to be the only film this channel shows, which is brilliant! They have breaks at random places in films, sometimes mid-speech, which I think is the only downside.
